Website Update

17-10-2013

Dear Customers,

We would like to inform you that we upgraded the website order form and you can rent and get access to new LPARs in the Cloud again.

Striving to provide more accurate and precise options for your LPAR's parameters, we introduced another way to represent the processing performance of your LPAR. Now you can choose CPU rPerf values, as it is commonly used as a relative performance metric for IBM Power Systems servers.

rPerf is an estimate of commercial processing performance relative to other IBM UNIX systems. The derived rPerf value depends on CPU, cache and memory. A value of 1.0 rPerf is equivalent to the IBM eServer™ pSeries® 640 performance which is used as a baseline reference system. Since there are different systems with different performance characteristics in our cloud we use rPerf as a processing metric.

Also, we would like to thank you for your feedback, since it is really invaluable to us in developing our services, while we are continuing to provide a positive customer experience.
